ABOUT US
Welcome, and, thank you for visiting Perspectivesphotography.net, the on-line gallery of Perspectives, LLC.
Perspectives is the company formed by Arnold Gentilezza and Pamela Combs Gentilezza in 1987, to market and distribute their
photography and photography products.
Pamela studied art, art history, and design at the University of North Carolina - Greensboro.
Pamela graduated with a B.S. in Interior Architecture. Working as a designer for over 20 years, she was
instrumental in the design and implementation of many corporate and retail environments.
Pamela began photographing in the late 1970's. Her interests lie in photographing nature and man's intersection with the natural world.
Many of her images are graphic deconstructions of the subject matter. Her goal is to simplify and reduce the subject to the minimum essential
information - line, form, shape, pattern and color - resulting in photographs with strong graphic qualities.
Arnold studied two- and three-dimensional design, space design and architecture at Pratt Institute in New York.
Continuing his formal education at the University of Houston, he graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1977.
Arnold also studied photography at the University of Colorado at Denver.
Arnold has been photographing since 1968. His interest in creating images of the American landscape, and western landscapes in particular,
began in earnest in 1984. His images have evolved from landscapes as record, to images that either capture the symbolic
and emotional content of the subject matter or depict subject matter as pure form. Most images are in color, and every effort is made to
exploit the color medium, from the time of day the images are made, to the use of graphic design elements - line, shape, form, shadow,
and texture.
Currently, Arnold and Pamela live in Holladay, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City, along with their daughter Zoe.
Zoe, who is now eight, is a Junior Ranger at several of our National Parks.
The whole family enjoys the beauty of nature and all its gifts. And, researching and exploring new places.
